The paper I was using is a dud, back to the search. Do NOT use the paper above. It is not flexible enough, the ink rubs off even after hours of drying, and it doesn't stick very well.
My other options are using a rub-down transfer where there is a white area you make clear with coats of varnish, or an alternate adhesive paper label that will probably have some sort of background color

Possible Boxes to Contain the Box
This is a template I made just in case I decided to make a box to encase the whole thing.
Without Cutouts
With Cutouts (not a final, just to get the idea)
Color Study
This is a roll of color studies done for the Big Fire wine bottle design. I just wanted to try out different options to see if any other color pairs catch my eye. I really do like the orange color I used in the first iteration, if you couldn't tell (lol). I may have to suck it up and accept the fact that I cannot avoid the flame in this case.

Wine Box Test Run
Had it not been for minor nicks and chips, this box could have been my final one. Everything works great, now to buy more wood, and make the next one seamless :)

BIG FIRE CHANGES
Here's where I am with the Big Fire redesign. I had this other sketch of a burned branch I drew that was meant to resemble a flame. I initially wanted this iteration to be black too, but the black may not show up against the color of the wine. I wanted to avoid anything that explicitly displayed fire, but with this version, after playing with different color options, I settled on orange. Hopefully the logo still reads as a burned branch with the new color. Maybe I will try a shade of gray...
